DESCRIPTION:Out of an abundance of caution\, and consideration for the health and safety of our members and the community\, we have postponed this event to early 2021\n\nJoin us for an economic update from incoming First Merchants CEO Mark Hardwick. This event will include lunch at Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville.\n\nMark Hardwick currently serves as the executive vice president\, chief operating officer\, and chief financial officer of First Merchants Corporation headquartered in Muncie\, that operates in Indiana \, central Ohio\, Illinois\, and Michigan. Mark joined First Merchants in November of 1997 as corporate controller and was promoted to CFO in April of 2002. In June of 2007\, Hardwick also assumed all leadership responsibilities related to operations\, technology\, and risk management for the corporation. In 2016\, Mark's title expanded to include COO\, overseeing the leadership responsibilities for finance\, operations\, technology\, risk\, legal\, and facilities for the corporation.\n\nPrior to joining First Merchants Corporation\, Mark served as a senior accountant with BKD\, LLP in Indianapolis. Mark is a graduate of Ball State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's in business administration. He is also a certified public accountant and a graduate of the Stonier School of Banking.\n\nWe will be taking great care to ensure a safe\, socially distant\, and informative event. Seating will be limited and a virtual option will be available for those unable to join us.
