We all know business gets done on the golf course! Birdies & Brews has been a catalyst for local businesses for 8 years. Building relationships, conducting business, and connecting with partners is best done with a 7 iron in one hand and a cold beverage in the other. In addition, this is the Noblesville Chamber's largest fundraising event of the year.
Birdies & Brews features businesses at every tee box with fun activities and giveaways. Every 3rd hole has the addition of breweries & distilleries offering tastings and samples! Between the on course games, give away items, and friendly faces - there's a reason Birdies & Brews is the most anticipated golf outing on the year.
Our Host: Purgatory Golf Club is a nationally recognized jewel. It is ranked in America's 100 Greatest Public Courses, America's Top 50 Courses for Women, and #1 Course in Indiana. Come play a round for yourself and see what makes Purgatory so special.
Purgatory was built on 218 acres while many golf courses are built on 90 - 150 acres. There are a minimum of six sets of tees at each hole. From the far forward tees, the course is a short 4,600 yards. But when you play from the Purgatory tees, the course is a brutal 7,700 yards long. This makes it the longest course in Indiana, and the longest, non-mountain par 72 in the world. But don't worry; there are at least 4 sets of tees between these two yardages to test your abilities. You'll face over 125 bunkers at Purgatory. They're filled with white sand, made of crushed limestone, which is a rare bunker material in Indiana. Many of the bunkers are outside your most rewarding line to the cup, but of course you'll find some exceptions. At the 16th hole, large bunkers line the fairway and surround the green. On the 4th hole, you'll find bunkers protect the green because trees outline the fairway. But you'll see the most striking is Hell's Half Acre the 17th hole where a par three is surrounded by two acres of bunkers, making the green an island in a sea of sand. At Purgatory, you'll quickly learn that it's easier to hit your ball out of a bunker than out of the tall grass. You'll find that most of the fairways are lined by roughs consisting of tall prairie grasses.
