Bias At Work - Unconscious Bias Training - Virtual

Bias At Work - Unconscious Bias Training - Virtual

Unconscious Bias Training
We all have built-in biases... learn to recognize bias and how it may impact your business

Unconscious bias, the mental shortcuts our brains naturally take to help us make decisions quickly, can sometimes prevent us from cultivating and promoting environments that are truly inclusive and innovative. Foundations for first impressions often come from our own experiences and sense of the world.

Raising awareness around what unconscious biases are, and counteracting how they show up in our day-to-day experience is not only the right thing to do - it’s essential for the success and viability of organizations and teams.

This session is designed to raise awareness around implicit and unconscious biases, and employ new strategies around mitigating them in future interactions to foster a more inclusive workplace.

At the end of the 90-minute session, participants will be able to:
✅ Explain (and recognize) what unconscious bias is
✅ Understand how bias can influence workplace decisions, interactions, and relationships
✅ Learn the scientific research on unconscious bias and its influence in the workplace
✅ Identify six behaviors of inclusion that can be operationalized in the workplace to disrupt implicit bias patterns, regardless of positionality within the organization
✅ Commit to taking at least one action to mitigate the influence of unconscious bias in your personal & professional life
