Annual Hamilton County Resource & Health Fair 2013 March 14, 3pm
Fishers, IN - The Hamilton County Health Task Force is pleased to announce the Annual Hamilton County Resource & Health Fair 2013, located at the Hamilton County 4H Fairgrounds in Noblesville, Indiana, March 14, 3-7pm.
Nancy Chance, GSN Founder/Executive Director, says, “It really is a remarkable FREE event for the Central Indiana community. Not to mention the expertise of our speakers, including government leaders like, Senator Luke Kenley and Dr. Tim Brown, Indiana House Representative, who are active public health care advocates in the State of Indiana.”
The event is coordinated by The Hamilton County Health Task Force and Good Samaritan Network of Hamilton County. Sponsors include: Community Assistance Program, Indiana University Health, Riverview Hospital, St. Vincent Carmel Hospital, St. Francis Health Carmel, Community Health North, Ryan White Planning Council, Sodexo, Hamilton County Health Department and Good Samaritan Network of Hamilton County, Inc.
Chance added, “We are very pleased to have nearly one hundred exhibitors and vendors who will be on site sharing valuable resources that will help individuals and families with health-care decision making.” She also said, “Just as importantly we are thrilled to have FREE screenings some include, Bone Density, Vision Testing, Scoliosis, Respiratory and Blood Pressure.”
The event will host nearly 100 booth spaces with such participants as, Cancer Support Community, Child care Answers, Children’s Bureau, CICOA, Families First, Habitat for Humanity, Theracare Outpatient Therapy Services, Trinity Free Clinic and the Indiana State Attorney General’s Office; besides numerous food, clothing and baby pantries. Various exhibitors will provide educational information and health resources, as well as free give-a-ways for those visiting different booths. Additionally door prizes will be given out during the event from 3pm-7pm.
Guest speakers for this year’s forums and Q. & A., located in Hall C at the Fairgrounds, is a huge highlight with an emphasis on the topic of: “Affordable Care Act” by Luke Kenley, Dr. Tim Brown and Terry West. Indiana Senator Luke Kenley was raised in Noblesville, Indiana as the oldest of eight children. He has been extensively involved in legislative work for long-term nursing home insurance, medical savings accounts, welfare recipient self-sufficiency fund and other critical Indiana State legislation. Dr. Tim N. Brown, M.D., Serving Indiana House of Representatives since 1994 has worked on numerous legislative initiatives including: Public Health Committee Chair, Education, Family, Children, and Human Affairs. He has also received numerous awards in the Health industry. Rep. Brown currently serves as the Chairman for Ways and Means. Terry R. West, Owner/ President of WestLink Consulting LLC has over 15 years of experience in the Patient Advocacy and eligibility determination services field.
Another prime topic during the event, especially for Seniors, “Understanding Your Medicare Choices” presented by Ken Keating, President, Insurance Depot & Financial Services, Fishers, IN; with a goal of helping seniors make more informed choices concerning Medicare. This discussion will take place in the Hamilton County 4H Fairgrounds Dining Hall.
His work experience has afforded him the opportunity to work initially as an agent, then as a Vice President of Life Brokerage responsible for life sales with two major life insurance companies, and most recently, as a Chief Marketing officer for two national IMO’s dedicated to the middle market.
Ken lives in Fishers, Indiana with his wife Doris who works with Ken in his office. They have 5 boys with the last two finishing their college careers at IUPUI and Indiana Wesleyan. He enjoys golf with his family and friends and travelling with his wife.

Good Samaritan Network of Hamilton County, Inc., is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit focused on assisting the at-risk population in Hamilton county. Client referrals are received from a variety of social service agencies, churches, township trustees, food pantries, local hospitals and government emergency agencies. GSN also works with the Hamilton County Schools, Sheriff, Police and Fire Departments. Direct services include serving at-risk and underserved individuals and families within Hamilton County. Typical service streams are emergency or crisis intervention, educational resources and support. InDirect services include the GSN Network which was established to ensure efficiency and communication among the different groups who support and assist the at-risk and underserved residents of Hamilton County. www.gsnlive.org
