Every leader faces the need to communicate.
Join Dr. Dan Miller, president and founder of Historical Solutions, LLC, as he guides us through the hours leading up to Abraham Lincoln's famous Gettysburg Address. You'll ride with Lincoln on his private train ride from Washington DC to Gettysburg, stay with him through the late hours of the night before his speech and sit on the speaking platform as he delivers his remarks. In his talk, Dr. Miller will emphasize real-world takeaways for your leadership and communication within your company. It's a rare chance to go behind the scenes of one of American history's most famous moments.
About Our Speaker
For 10 years, Dr. Dan Miller worked in a workforce development consulting firm outside Indianapolis, first as a frontline consultant and subsequently as a managing partner and CEO. Historical Solutions LLC (founded in 2004) has given Miller a platform to pursue a totally new kind of history and consulting. His clients include CEOs, executives, board members, directors, managers, and supervisors. Since then, he has successfully blended a service in leadership development that blends a unique historical knowledge with practical business experience.
Miller has an extensive list of publications. His first full-length book was published in spring 2008, entitled “A Tragic Turn: Six Leaders and the Death of Martin Luther King, Jr.” He has also written the updated sections of the history of IU Health Methodist Hospital and constructed a history of medical education at IU Health Methodist. Furthermore, Miller has written entries for the Dictionary of Literary Biography, the Encyclopedia of Americans at War, and the Encyclopedia of the American Revolution. His writings also include books on Union Hospital, Tipton Hospital, Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana, and AIT Laboratories and its founder, Dr. Michael Evans.
