INDIANA MEMBERS CREDIT UNION HOSTS 5TH ANNUAL BOWL A THON SUNDAY FEBRUARY 17, 2013 NOON TO 4:30 PM

Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU), Central Indiana’s largest credit union, is hosting their 5^th annual “Bowl-A-Thon” employee fundraising event, at Expo Bowl in Indianapolis, on Sunday, February 17, 2013, noon to 4:30 pm.  100% of the proceeds raised will go to the Indiana Members Foundation to help children in need in the communities IMCU serves.   400 bowlers will be in attendance at the event, filling two flights of 80 lanes.

Features of the day will include a special appearance by Indiana Pacers Mascot, Boomer, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm and over 90 door prizes.  Each bowler that participates will receive two games and shoes.  In addition, a team award for “Best Decorated T-Shirt” will be awarded!  

The Indiana Members Foundation was founded in 2010 by Indiana Members Credit Union employees and volunteers for the purpose of being a positive influence in the community, specifically providing school children in the Indianapolis area with the necessary essentials for learning and succeeding in their education.  “We are excited to host our annual Bowl-A-Thon event, on behalf of the Indiana Members Foundation, to support school children in our communities,” stated Mandy Emery, AVP Community Relations for IMCU.  “We are blessed to receive the assistance from our employees and business partners for this cause and are pleased to announce our event is sold out, which is tremendous.”  Emery, who also oversees Indiana Members Foundation fundraising events expressed, “We are well on our way to meeting our 2013 fundraising goal for Indiana Members Foundation which is to raise enough funds to provide 4,000 backpacks, filled with supplies, and 500 school uniforms, belts and shoes to school children in the Indianapolis area.”
